GEFI
Machine intelligence that can decide, not just generate.
GEFI is Dagnum’s specialized decision-model program, developing compact machine intelligence designed specifically for structured, probabilistic and calibrated decisions.
Modern generative models are extraordinarily capable, but generation and decision-making are fundamentally different problems. GEFI explores specialized models that evaluate alternatives, express uncertainty, abstain when appropriate, and produce dependable structured decisions without requiring a general-purpose language model at the center of every decision.
Early models are already being trained and evaluated across multiple forms of decision-making. Our current research focuses on generalization, calibration, efficiency and the behavior of these systems as training scale increases. The objective is a new class of decision infrastructure: compact, measurable and built to decide.
